I am deeply honored to extend a heartfelt welcome to you. My name is Dr. George Underwood, Pastor of Emmanuel Bible Church in Los Angeles, California and Chancellor/President and Chief Executive Officer of Emmanuel Bible College and Seminary (EBCAS), and it is a privilege to serve as the Pastor and Chancellor/President and Chief Executive Officer of both these esteemed institutions. As someone who has dedicated my life to both ministry and education, I believe that every church member and EBCAS student is a unique reflection of God’s purpose, and it is my mission to help guide you in discovering and fulfilling that purpose.

My love and joy for leading God’s people are deeply rooted in my roles of leadership, as well as in my pastoral ministry and teaching experience. I aim to create an environment where both church members and students at EBCAS can receive not only spiritual guidance but also academic excellence. It is my passion to support individuals in their spiritual growth while equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in their personal faith journeys and professional endeavors.
My journey in leadership has been shaped by a deep calling to serve others—whether through the pulpit or the classroom. I have always believed that education is a powerful tool for transformation, not only in the minds of individuals but in the hearts of communities. Over the years, I have seen how a strong foundation in faith, coupled with a rigorous academic framework, can empower individuals to make a lasting difference in the world.
As I look back on my own journey in ministry and education, I am reminded that leadership is not about titles or positions—it’s about service, humility, and a commitment to fostering an environment where others can thrive. I approach my role here with the utmost responsibility and a deep sense of gratitude.
